Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Andy and at the time being I'm 35 years old. Throughout my life I felt a strong desire to try out new things and give myself some challenges once in a while. Some proved to be good and extensible, others to be boring me soon. After learning a trade, working on it for several years - interrupted by travels to New Zealand, Australia and Central America and some further education - I signed up with a major company in the IT-business. But the corporate lifestyle proved to be not for me. Then one rainy day at work I remembered my dream of riding a bicycle around the world... From that day on my life was completely about this subject. Saving money, checking routes, countries, reading travelogues, evaluating gear etc. After staying with this employer for almost 5 years, I quit. Another year went by where I had to sort out some minor difficulties. Then on January 2nd 2007, I finally set off for the great unknown...

Why riding a bicycle? Because for me it's the best way to travel!
